Terms & Conditions

By using the services of Expert Rug Cleaning (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Scope of Services

Expert Rug Cleaning provides professional rug cleaning, reconditioning, repair, restoration, storage, consultation, and related services for area rugs and textiles. All services are performed based on the information available at the time of evaluation.

Each rug is unique. Results may vary depending on rug age, construction, materials, condition, and prior treatments.

2. Evaluation & Estimates

  • All rugs are evaluated prior to service.

  • Estimates are provided in good faith but are not guarantees of final results.

  • Additional services may be recommended after cleaning or repair begins if underlying issues are discovered.

  • Customer approval will be requested before proceeding with additional work whenever possible.

3. Cleaning & Restoration Risks

Rugs are often handmade and may contain:

  • Natural fibers

  • Natural or unstable dyes

  • Pre-existing wear, repairs, or weaknesses

While every reasonable precaution is taken, the customer acknowledges that cleaning, repair, or restoration may reveal:

  • Color loss or dye migration

  • Fiber weakness or breakdown

  • Hidden damage

  • Prior improper repairs

Expert Rug Cleaning is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing conditions beyond our control.

4. No Guarantee of Complete Restoration

Cleaning, repair, or restoration may improve a rug’s condition but cannot guarantee full restoration to original appearance or condition.

Certain issues, including sun fading, pet damage, moth damage, or water damage, may not be fully reversible.

5. Repairs & Alterations

  • Repairs are performed using professional methods appropriate to the rug’s construction.

  • Repaired areas may show slight variation in color, texture, or pattern.

  • Exact matches are not always possible, especially with older or handmade rugs.

  • Structural integrity and longevity are prioritized over cosmetic perfection.

6. Pet Odors, Contamination & Decontamination

  • Deep decontamination services are designed to neutralize odors and contaminants.

  • Odor elimination is not guaranteed if contamination has permanently affected fibers or foundation.

  • No refunds are issued based solely on residual odor perception.

7. Storage (Rug Vault)

  • Rugs placed into storage must be clean prior to storage.

  • Storage fees are billed according to the agreed terms.

  • Rugs must be claimed within the agreed storage period.

  • Unclaimed rugs may be subject to additional fees or considered abandoned after reasonable notice, in accordance with applicable law.

8. Pick-Up & Delivery

  • Pick-up and delivery times are approximate.

  • Customer is responsible for providing accurate access information.

  • Expert Rug Cleaning is not responsible for delays due to weather, traffic, or circumstances beyond our control.

9. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Storage fees must be paid before release of rugs.

  • Unpaid balances may result in delayed delivery or storage liens as permitted by law.

10. Abandoned Rugs

Rugs left unpaid or unclaimed for an extended period may be considered abandoned and handled in accordance with local and state regulations. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the owner before any action is taken.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Expert Rug Cleaning’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service performed.

  • We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • We are not responsible for loss of value due to inherent rug conditions or market factors.

12. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Disclosing known damage, stains, odors, or prior treatments

  • Removing personal items from rugs before service

  • Providing accurate contact information

13. Photography & Documentation

Expert Rug Cleaning may photograph rugs before, during, or after service for documentation, training, or quality control purposes. Photos may be used for marketing only with identifying details removed unless permission is granted.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.

15. Acceptance of Terms

By authorizing services with Expert Rug Cleaning, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
